Wedding planning can be very overwhelming, actually, it IS overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be!  Luckily, there are a plethora of web resources available for brides to gather their ideas.  But the best resource (in my mind) are the vendors themselves!  I attended “A Wedding Affair” hosted by the Sofitel Hotel where vendors displayed the hottest trends in wedding design.  I especially love these events because you get to see different color schemes, beautiful flowers arrangements, mood lighting, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and all the details of a wedding you can think of.  Photographing these details is one of my favorite parts of the wedding day!

Kelly and David chose Oceano Hotel & Spa:  Half Moon Bay to celebrate their nuptials with their closest friends and family, mostly from out of town.  Oceano Hotel was a great destination for the couple’s guests, located in a quiet harbor surrounded by beautiful coastal scenery.  San Francisco and Half Moon Bay is notorious for cold and foggy summers and the couple was concerned that their outdoor ceremony would be too cold for their guests, especially since it was so cold and foggy during the rehearsal just the day before.  But as wedding days are usually unpredictable and full of surprises, Kelly and David’s big day turned out to be so sunny and warm with a blue sky stretching for miles without a single fog cloud in sight.  We were even able to photograph a gorgeous sunset shoot at the nearby Montara Beach and couldn’t have asked for better weather!

Angela and Eric surprised me when they showed up to their engagement session with two huge bright yellow balloons.   It was a cold and foggy day in the city (like 80% of the year) and the wind kept bumping the balloons into our heads (mainly mine).  Despite the weather conditions, Angela and Eric rocked their session which allowed me to capture their fun loving personalities with ease.   Backdropped by the Golden Gate bridge, Angela’s electric blue dress was a great contrast to the bright yellows.  I love when couples express themselves through colorful outfits/props and  I can’t wait to capture their wedding next year at one of my favorite new venues, Rosewood Sand Hill.

It doesn’t get more coquettish than a fabulous pink New York themed baby shower for the beautiful expecting mommy, Andrea Lee of Coquette Events.  Andrea recently relocated from NYC to SF and her baby shower was filled with whimsical details that reflected the vibrant city she misses and loves.  For this stylish event planner, no detail was overlooked.  From the make-your-own charm necklace station to the dessert tables, you could tell that this baby was made in NEW YORK!  I had so much fun capturing all the details of this chic affair and can’t wait to follow baby Lee’s journey.  Next up… Maternity Photoshoot!
