Typically, I photograph younger kids/toddlers and babies with mommy and daddy so it was a nice change to work with older kids. However, I quickly realized with 9-10 year olds, calling “mommy” is no longer cool and that I should say, “mom”. Also coo-ing to try and make the kids smile isn’t exactly their idea of “cute”. So I knew I had to act cool really fast before I lost trust and credibility with the “tweens”. Luckily, we all shared love for music so we blasted some tunes from Ben Harper and danced for almost the entire photoshoot! Yay!
